As the oldest established car dealer in Miramichi, Lounsbury had grown to become a premier Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC automobile dealer. The first store of what was later to become Lounsbury Company Ltd was opened on the wharf in Newcastle in 1878 by Leonard W. Johnston. From these humble beginnings Lounsbury's has grown to become New Brunswick's premier new and used automotive retailer with branches in Bathurst, Dalhousie, Moncton, and Shediac.

Lounsbury Chevrolet Buick GMC Miramichi had grown and moved to its current location in 1995. We now offer a state-of-the-art showroom, Parts & Service Centers and a Finance Department.
